Many people think that starting a weight loss diet means giving up the foods we love. No sweets, no rice, no bread, no chips, no wine, NOT fun! But this kind of weight loss plan can actually lead to more cravings. The truth, experts say, is that you can have your weight loss and eat cake, too — as long as you “cheat” the sensible way.

I’ve personally found that enjoying sweets early in the day gives my time to burn off the extra calories. I also develop a plan when I know me and my family are going out to eat. Most importantly, I make sure I eat the sweets I love the most because nothing is worse than wasting calories on something that doesn’t taste that good.
