Sweet tooth keeping you from reaching your fitness goals? Check out these tips on how to fight those sugar cravings

  1. Eat regularly. Waiting too long between meals can cause you to choose sugary, high fat foods to satisfy your appetite. Instead, eat smaller meals/snacks frequently throughout the day to keep those cravings at bay.
  2. Drink more water. Often times sugar cravings are no more than a sign of dehydration. Before you reach for the sweet stuff, drink 8-10 ounces of water to help reduce the craving.
  3. Swap refined sugars for fresh fruit. Yep, instead of a chocolate candy bar, try a banana with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. It’ll satisfy your sweet tooth AND provide nutrients that refined sugars don’t.
