Sweet tooth keeping you from reaching your fitness goals? Check out these tips on how to fight those sugar cravings
- Eat regularly. Waiting too long between meals can cause you to choose sugary, high fat foods to satisfy your appetite. Instead, eat smaller meals/snacks frequently throughout the day to keep those cravings at bay.
- Drink more water. Often times sugar cravings are no more than a sign of dehydration. Before you reach for the sweet stuff, drink 8-10 ounces of water to help reduce the craving.
- Swap refined sugars for fresh fruit. Yep, instead of a chocolate candy bar, try a banana with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. It’ll satisfy your sweet tooth AND provide nutrients that refined sugars don’t.
