Strawberry Letter: Don’t Know What To Do

Dear Steve an Shirley,

I am a 26-year-old woman living in a small town. I have an issue I am struggling to address. I have a coworker at my job who clearly does not have it together in her life. She comes to work smelling like alcohol, her makeup is always all over her face and she fights with her husband in public all the time. Everyone at the job talks about what a mess she is. They call her bipolar and crazy and says she looks like a dog. Her own family talks about her. To me, if your own family talks about you, you need some help from your family. I don’t know how to help this woman but I don’t want to join the crowd. My mom raised me with the belief that if you can’t say nothing nice, don’t say anything at all, or don’t say something about someone you can’t say to their face.

My question is, should I talk to management about what’s going on or mind my own business?
