Eating too many carbs can stall your weight loss progress, however, there ARE healthy carbs that can actually HELP you lose weight. Here are some options to add to the menu:

  1. Whole Wheat Pasta: this type of pasta offers three times more fiber than refined white varieties. The added fiber aids with digestion, helps prevent bloat and makes you feel fuller longer.
  2. Quinoa – quinoa is full of nutrients, provides a good source of fiber and protein.
  3. Popcorn – Surprise! Depending on the brand, you can get a great dose of fiber in 3 cups of popcorn. It’s a quick, low calorie snack. It is satisfying AND it’s a whole grain.
