You don’t have to be a gym rat to stay in shape. In fact, a little walking everyday can take you a long way when it comes to reaching your weight loss goals. Walking is a great form of cardio because it burns calories without being too hard on your body. Walking is an excellent alternative to creating a calorie deficit without exhausting yourself as well.

If you’re new to working out, committing yourself to walking daily is a great way to get yourself prepared for more advanced exercises. You can start by dedicating at least 30 minutes a day to walking, once you find a comfortable pace, gradually challenge yourself to work out to a speed walk. Before you know it, you’ll be running your first 5K!
