I remember looking up the nutrition information to one of my favorite “health conscious” restaurants and was mortified to see all of the saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium my favorite “veggie” burger contained. After realizing that eating there would do more harm than good, I decided to start cooking my own meals more.

Many of us eat unhealthy foods, full of empty calories that are counter productive when it comes to fat loss, but a great way to stop yourself from consuming bad foods is to KNOW what you’re eating. Read the labels, check the calories and nutrition information. You’re more likely to avoid unhealthy foods when you know how much fat, carbs and toxic ingredients are in them.
