Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston became the youngest player ever to win the Heisman Trophy this weekend in New York City. The 19-year-old beat out five other finalists by a landslide, earning 668 first place votes.

The teenager lead Florida State through an undefeated regular season racking up 3,825 passing yards and hit receivers in the end zone 38 times for touchdowns. Thanks to his superb play the Noles will face No. 2 Auburn in the ACC Championship Game.

Watch his acceptance interview below:

Winston was dealing with serious off the field drama up until a few weeks ago. A woman claimed the quarterback raped her in December of 2012, but the Florida State Attorney refused to file charges due to lack of evidence.  The woman’s attorney Patricia Carroll  is asking for an independent review stating, “I don’t have any faith in the nature of the investigation.”
