Heads up, Atlanta drivers!

The Georgia Department Of Transportation is shutting down I-285 again, so get ready to hide yo kids and hide ya wife because traffic is about to get real.

Starting Friday, July 24, at 7:00 p.m., I-285 will be fully closed in both directions between South Atlanta Road and Paces Ferry Road. The closure will remain in place until Monday, July 27, at 5:00 a.m.

If you normally travel through this stretch of the Perimeter, expect major delays and heavy traffic on surrounding roads. Consider using alternate routes, allowing extra travel time, or avoiding the area altogether if possible.
