Strawberry Letter: My Wife Doesn’t Get It

Good morning Steve, Tommy and Carla.

I have been married for 16 years to a beautiful woman. Over the years she has ALWAYS gotten plenty of attention from men like our male neighbors, UPS drivers and even FedEx delivery men that drop by her office daily. They hang around her desk at her office and talk sports with her. She thinks they are just being friendly because she is a cool woman who can talk sports as good as men can. But, I told her that men aren’t this nice for no reason. I explained that if a man wanted to clown around and talk sports they would find a man to do that! That’s what buddies are for. She doesn’t get that men are only this nice because they are hoping to get in her head and hopefully, someday get into her pants. She doesn’t believe it. I told her that if she were ugly, these men wouldn’t even say good morning to her. Yesterday, she got a text message from a man she barely knew that hasn’t seen her in three years congratulating her for graduating law school. I said, “He is trying to push up on you.” Steve and Shirley, tell her that she is being naive and way too trusting. I am a man and I know the game. She is 39 and way too old to be that blind. (In case you are wondering, she met you, Steve Harvey, in Los Angeles and you were a gentleman because you don’t want your wife to shoot you.)
