Atlanta-based megachurch pastor Eddie Long has released a statement denying he had coerced young church members into sex, as alleged in three lawsuits filed against him. “I have been through storms and my faith has always sustained me,” said Long.

A third lawsuit has been filed against Bishop Eddie Long, alleging he coerced a man to have sex with him. The third suit was filed Wednesday afternoon in DeKalb County Superior Court, said a spokeswoman for attorney B.J. Bernstein.

BJ Bernstein, the lawyer representing the two young men who have accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual abuse, spoke to the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” about the case. Bernstein discussed the allegations against Eddie Long, pastor of megachurch New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia.
