Strawberry Letter 23: Sick But Can’t Let Go
Good morning Steve and Shirley!
I have been dating this man for about two years now and when I met him I was in a relationship. I told him and then he told me that he was living with this woman but he wasn’t happy! She is an older woman, a school teacher to be exact. I really care for him and we have done a lot of things together, vacations, etc. He has met my family. I have met his brother and a few cousins.
He says that he loves me, I used to love him until he lost his job and now all he does is hang out and the club and asks me for money. He stays at my house until 3 and 4 in the morning, I don’t even enjoy him anymore (during our intimate times) I knew what I was getting into when I did it. But at the time it was fun and good, even though I knew it was wrong. I am no longer in my relationship. I do not want the other guy either, but he wont let go!
He drops by my house unannounced, his phone was off for about two months but its on now I guess the woman got it on for him this time (I did that to before ) I am just sick and tired of my behavior I am a professional woman and know I deserve better. He tries to make me feel guilty about leaving him saying I’m doing this because he is not working ,but in all honesty he wasn’t really doing nothing for me when he was working. I told him to just try to make things work with his woman because am ready to move on ! What can I do!!!!
PS don’t think I’m leaving him because he lost his job, but he just seems to be alright with not working its been about eight months and he is not looking!
