Undisputed heavyweight champion Claressa Shields is bringing her talents to Atlanta, and she’s ready to write her name into the record books once again. Speaking with Ryan Cameron Uncensored fresh off her first press conference at State Farm Arena, the two-time Olympic gold medalist confirmed she’ll become the first female boxer to headline the venue on Saturday, August 15th.

The energy around the event is already electric. With tickets barely on sale for a week, 20% have already moved toward a sellout crowd of 21,000 fans. For Shields, Atlanta is the perfect stage.

“To me, this is like the black Hollywood,” she said. “So all the superstars you guys know will be out.”

The matchup carries real weight. Shields is dropping three weight classes back down to 160 lbs to challenge WBC/WBA Unified Middleweight Champion Kaye Scott, a move that returns her to familiar territory. She explained that her earlier jump up in weight wasn’t by choice.

“The only reason I went up is because those girls were scared to fight me,” Shields said. “I was being starved out by the boxing female community. They were like, putting me on the shelf because they wouldn’t fight me.”

Her toughness, she says, was forged long before the pro ranks. Shields traced her ability to take a punch all the way back to the schoolyard.

“We used to do body shots, whoever fall first,” she recalled. “And I never fell first, so that’s when I knew I was tough.”

That same confidence shapes her game plan. When asked about her opponent’s strategy of attacking in the later rounds, Shields kept it simple.

“When she said that today, I just was like, well, I guess I gotta get her out early,” she said.

Shields also addressed the constant online chatter that follows her every move, brushing it off with her signature swagger.

“I got motion and I’m literally walking clout,” she said. “I eat a tomato, I go viral.”

The night promises more than just the main event. The stacked undercard features world champions, rising contenders, and celebrity bouts, including Ray J stepping back into the ring against Orlando Brown, plus Zeus Network stars Big Lex and Tesehki (of Baddies fame) trading blows.

As for making weight, Shields isn’t worried. “I have never in my life missed weight for a fight,” she said, promising to “dominate like I always do.”
