Alicia Keys, hubby Swizz Beatz and tennis star Serena Williams have posed as if they were dead for the “Keep A Child Alive” foundation.
Today, on World Aids Day, some of the biggest names in R&B and pop will commit “social suicide” by banning themselves from social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
They will not sign back on until $1 million dollars is raised for Alicia’s “Keep A Child Alive” organization which provides first class AIDS care through doctors, nutrition, testing, transportation, and treatment in Africa and India.
Leigh Blake, president and co-founder of the charity, made a good point saying, “Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?”
