Atlanta R&B producer The-Dream, label mate Mariah Carey and Def Jam Records are facing a lawsuit over a duet production from The-Dream’s album Love vs. Money.
Preston Marshall and Demario Driver have filed a lawsuit against the singers and record label Island Def Jam for copyright infringement over the production of “My Love,” seeking $450,000 in damages, according to YoRaps.com.
The producers claim they emailed their song “Are You The One” to music executive Jeff Huffman in 2008 only to hear a version of it on The-Dream’s album Love vs. Money the following year.
