Hurricane Irma affects metro Atlanta area
Three people in Georgia lost their lives and more than 1 million are without power because of Hurricane Irma. Georgia Power has 3,400 workers responding to the outages. As of this morning, storm debris is on many of the roadways, gusty winds are still lingering and that will slow down restoration of power.
Hurricane Jose a potential threat to U.S. east coast next week
Irma has been downgraded and has moved out, but don’t forget about Hurricane Jose. Jose is still churning in the Atlanta Ocean the first computer models indicate that Jose will stay out in the ocean, but there is another model showing Hurricane Jose could hit the southeast coast next week.
