After years of rumors and speculation, James Debarge, made a shocking television confession that he and ex-wife Janet Jackson have a secret daughter.
Debarge was confronted by his youngest daughter, singer Kristinia on WeTV’s, Growing Up Hip Hop.

In the video, James claims that he was actually contacted by the secret daughter and she knew things that only “God and Janet would know”:
“I’m tired of the media, I’m tired of the secrecy…I‘m tired of the truth not coming forward, and people being a coward when it comes to it. And I thought it was wise for me to speak out now because it needs to be addressed.”
“To be honest with you, I didn’t know,” he continues. “I was under the impression that there was no baby, and I wanted to believe it’s not true. But it is.”
“I wanted to believe it’s not true. But it is. I havn’t know until recently…I got a phone call out of nowhere… kinda caught me off guard. She said, “I have to ask you something, do you think you have a baby?… I said why, she begin to share things with me that I shared with no, only God and Janet would know…but as days went by I could think clearly, remember what happened…how we would try our best to love on each other, but no one would let us…but what was she supposed to do…under those circumstances…everyone was making the decision for you?”
Kristinia asked James if there was any doubt that Jackson was even pregnant:
“I know for a fact that she was pregnant when she was with me, I just thought it was handled…”
Debarge and Jackson eloped in 1984 but the marriage was annulled in 1985.

Now back in May, Radar Online had an exclusive interview with James about he and Janet’s alleged secret daughter only he said she contacted him by email and not by phone.
He also claimed that he found out Jackson put their daughter up for adoption and that her adoptive mother, told her on her deathbed that she was Jackson’s daughter before she passed away.
Kristinia Debarge says she is determined to “find her” sister.
Meanwhile Jackson and her husband Wissam Al-Mana are awaiting the arrival of their child.
Jackson, 50, has not responded to Debarge’s statements since they aired, but has denounced rumors there was a secret child between the two in the past.
