Subject: Married to a Bigamist
Dear Mr. Harvey and Shirley Strawberry, I am a 46 year old single parent. I was with my husband for 18 years and he always cheated and was an abuser. I put up with it for all those years because he was a good provider and I had young children. Every time I would leave him, he would promise me he would never do it again, but he lied. It continued and so finally one day, I just left with the clothes on my back and moved from hotel to hotel. Finally, he moved to another city and moved in with another woman, leaving behind me and his 2 children. My kids went to visit him for Spring Break and told me their daddy had a new wife. My son went to live with him and I don’t want to make it hard for my son while he is there. What should I do? I want him to pay him back for some of the stuff he has done to me and my kids, but I know my son is there and I don’t want him to take it out on my son. What should I do?
