Subject: Darned if do… Darned if I don’t
Dear Steve and Shirley, recently I married my middle school sweetheart. We started dating in 2013, had a baby in 2015 and got married in 2016. At first her family looked down on me because of my background and current jobs. We’ve been married for 2 weeks and things have been rough. We hardly speak and now I talk to her family more than her. I work two jobs and still have to do all of the house work. She complains all day, everyday, but doesn’t do anything. She told me that she’s tired of looking at a dirty house, but all the stuff that’s thrown everywhere is hers. She makes more money than me and is throwing her weight around because I have to work two jobs to make what she makes. When I wasn’t working, she complained I had too much time… Now that I am working, she’s complaining that I have no free time. I just don’t know what to do. I’m starting to wonder why I got married. It’s too much and I’m still in my twenties. What should I do?
