Earlier this week we reported that “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star Stevie J had been arrested because he failed to pay more than one million dollars in back child support to one of his baby mamas, Carol Antoinette Bennett. The hit reality show’s executive producer Mona Scott-Young had Stevie bailed out almost immediately, but that could have gotten her into trouble.
According to reports, Mona Scott-Young bailed Stevie J out of jail almost as soon as he went in for failing to pay back child support. However, things get a little tricky here because Scott-Young is now being accused of lying about Stevie J’s finances to keep him from having to pay the astronomical child support bill. In April of this year, Scott-Young was subpoenaed along with Bad Boy Records, Joseline Hernandez, Sony Music Group, Viacom, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, The Kompany, Raymond “Benzino” Scott, and Monami Entertainment by Project Child Support to determine the exact state of Stevie’s finances so he could begin paying back the million dollar child support.
However, Project Child Support, a group that helps mothers retrieve back child support from the fathers, claims Mona Scott-Young is a liar. All of these accusations are being hurled in Mona’s direction because in her response to the subpoena, Scott-Young said she and Monami Entertainment have never employed, subcontracted, or contracted Stevie J’s services for anything.
The Founder of Project Child Support is slamming Mona Scott-Young’s response, “I don’t understand how an Executive Producer of a hit television reality series does not enter into any agreements with the cast or any organizations contracted with the cast of a television production. This is a felony child support evasion case, and helping someone commit a felony crime is a felony crime. We are going to cooperate with the federal agencies investigating this case and provide them with copies of all documents we received that are related to this case, including Mona Scott’s court ordered subpoena response.”
