Strawberry Letter: Dating Someone My Ex Knows
Good Morning Crew,
I recently (about 2 months ago) ended a 3 year relationship, it was not all bad but for the most part we had more downs than ups. I moved into his house last year and moved out in January (we were broken up while I was living there). Within the past 3 weeks I have reconnected with someone and we are hitting it off amazingly. He is very attentive and really understands me as a person, all of the things that I prayed for in my last relationship are true with this man. I don’t want to jump the gun, but we have a wonderful connection that I have never experienced before and he tells and shows me that he feels the same way. The catch is that he knows my ex. We met on a couples trip a few years ago, we never connected or exchanged numbers but his personality and demeanor left a good impression on me. A few weeks ago a couple of our mutual friends asked what I was looking for in a mate and asked if there was anyone that I was interested in. I mentioned the guy from the trip. We all had dinner and that’s where we hit it off. The new guy and the ex aren’t “friends” but they do know one another. I know that I will never get back with my ex and am seriously interested in this new guy. Am I wrong for dating someone my ex knows even though they aren’t really friends?
