‘Michael’ Heads to Digital Streaming Just Weeks After Theatrical Release

Fans won’t have to wait long to watch Michael from home.
Lionsgate announced this week that Michael will be available for purchase on digital platforms through Premium Video on Demand (PVOD). Beginning June 9, fans can buy the film for $24.99 on major digital retailers, including Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video, and YouTube Movies & TV.
While official rental pricing has not been announced, digital rentals are typically priced about $5 lower than purchases, which would put the expected rental cost at approximately $19.99 for a 48-hour viewing period.
If you’re thinking the movie just hit theaters, you’re right. Michael premiered on April 24, making this a notably quick transition from the big screen to home viewing. Lionsgate clearly isn’t wasting any time bringing the highly anticipated film to digital audiences.
