Kanye West Tops New List of “Most Canceled” Celebrities

Kanye West continues making headlines for both music and controversy. A new study now claims the rapper ranks as the most canceled celebrity in today’s pop culture landscape.

The research came from JB.com and looked at negative media coverage, online discussions, and legal issues tied to major public figures. According to the study, Kanye appeared in nearly 68 million negative headlines. Researchers also found more than 95,000 Reddit discussions connected to his controversies.

The report says his most controversial periods happened between late 2022 and early 2026.

Why Kanye Continues Facing Backlash

Much of the criticism centers around public statements Kanye made in recent years. Many people strongly condemned comments viewed as antisemitic and offensive.

The study also pointed to more than 25 lawsuits involving the rapper over the years. Those legal battles added to ongoing criticism surrounding his public image.

Despite the backlash, Kanye still maintains a loyal fan base. His music, fashion influence, and cultural impact continue driving conversations online and across entertainment media.

Elon Musk Ranked Second

The report named Elon Musk as the second most canceled celebrity in mainstream culture today.

Researchers connected much of the backlash to his leadership of X, formerly Twitter, along with political comments and public disputes. The study found nearly 90,000 Reddit discussions focused on controversies tied to Musk.

The report also mentioned dozens of personal lawsuits connected to the billionaire entrepreneur.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp Also Made the List

Amber Heard ranked third in the study following her highly publicized legal battle with ex husband Johnny Depp.

Depp ranked fourth overall. However, the report noted that public opinion around the actor improved after the court case ended.

Their legal fight became one of the most discussed celebrity stories in recent entertainment history. Social media users debated the trial daily across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit.

Celebrity Culture Keeps Changing

The study highlights how quickly celebrity reputations can shift in the social media era. Public opinion now moves faster than ever through viral clips, reposts, podcasts, and online debates.

For stars like Kanye West, controversy often creates both criticism and attention at the same time.

Whether fans support or reject certain celebrities, one thing remains clear. Online culture continues shaping how the public views fame, accountability, and influence.
