Well the one thing I will say is that Khalid is still one of the best
We all know what he can do on the hip-hop side but the new album “Scenic Drive” has cultivated R&B at its best!!!
The Interlude alone with Alicia Keys definitely sets the mood from the jump. Collabs from 6lack and Lucky Daye with the song Retrograde is definitely a listen to,
And the newcomer Quinn her song “brand new” is one of those that you really got a listen to the lyrics to feel it and I’m definitely feeling it!!
But most of all Ari Lennox and Smino with the cut “Scene drive” puts you in the mood That R&B is definitely back.
Hats off to Khalid this album definitely does not miss a beat
