Atlanta prepares for inclement weather conditions

(Dec.7,2017) Preparations are underway for some snow this weekend. G-DOT will salt the roadways tonight, they will use a salt-water brine mixture to pre-treat the roads. The good news is the weather model shows that this will be a very light event and if any accumulations it will be under an inch of snow. We expect the light snow rain mix to start Friday morning.

Election officials don’t believe a recount in the Atlanta mayoral race will make a difference. Keisha Lance Bottoms won the race by 759 votes. Mary Norwood wants a recount. The provisional ballots will be counted Friday and the election results will be certified by Monday after that Norwood can formally request a recount.

Protests have begun in the West Bank after President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Palestinians say they will not give up their rights to Jerusalem and they feel betrayed by the United States, since decades of past Presidents have promised to settle to Jerusalem issue through diplomacy.
