Mayoral Candidates for City of Atlanta
The Atlanta mayoral race is picking up the race. Yesterday candidate Mary Norwood picked up the endorsement of the city’s police union, the international brotherhood of police officers. One of her campaign promises is fixing financial issues for the Atlanta police department. Polls show that Mary Norwood is leading the mayoral race. State Senator Vincent Fort is in the #2 spot, he gained the endorsement of the laborers international local 515. Others in the race the City Council President Ceasear Mitchell, Fulton County Chair John Eaves, Councilman Kwanza Hall, Former City Council President Kathy Woolard, Former COO Peter Aman and former head of the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency Michael Sterling.
Trump Fires F.B.I. Director James Comey
Both the Democrat & Republican parties are demanding to know why President Trump fired F.B.I. Director James Comey. A letter Trump wrote cited Comey mishandling of the Hillary Clinton email probe as the main reason, but Democrats believe it has more to do with Comey investigation of Russian hacking, which could’ve influenced the election. To restore the American people faith top Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer wants a special prosecutor to take over the Russian hacking investigation.
