Strawberry Letter: Is He Playing Me?

Dear Steve and Shirley, I met a man three years ago after a major breakup. He has been my go-to man for everything. I have met all his close family members and friends and he has met mine. If I need to cry, talk, cuddle or be intimate, he has always been available. I love the way I feel when I’m with him. He compliments me, shows me respect, makes me laugh, listens to me… it just works! We seriously dated when we first met, but I got fed up after about 6 months of dating and he had not given me a title. He said I kept pushing the issue and he wasn’t quite ready for that. So I moved on, but now, I realize that I still have feelings for this man that will not go away. The only problem is that he still is not ready for a relationship. He says it’s because of his current living situation and finances, but we continue to spend time together and act as if we are together. Steve is this man playing with my emotions and just and really doesn’t want me? Should I stop pressing the issue and just wait until he is ready? I value your advice.
