It seems as if things are looking up for Greece after the country was hit with a major financial setback. Early Friday, the Greek Parliament approved an international loan deal. Over 200 lawmakers ratified the bill, while 75 didn’t show any support for it. Under the new bill, Greece would have to raise their taxes and implement strict spending rules. Although Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras received a lot of backlash for making this move, he said it was necessary and believes it will set Greece up for growth in 2018. “I do not regret choosing compromise,” he said. Jets Player Geno Smith Undergoes Jaw Surgery

New York Jets player Geno Smith is on the road to recovery after suffering a jaw injury when one of his teammates sucker-punched him in the locker room. According to reports, he had plates and screws placed in his jaw during the surgery. The player responsible for injuring Smith, IK Enemkpali, was released from the Jets and immediately picked up by the Bills on Wednesday. Smith is expected to miss six weeks due to his injury. The dispute between the two allegedly happened over $600. Some of the players on the team claim that Smith provoked Enemkpali. Read more.

You’re Fired: Donald Trump Won’t Be Returning to “Celebrity Apprentice”

Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s infamous “you’re fired” line from Celebrity Apprentice has come back to haunt him. According to reports, NBC has decided to remove Trump from the show. When NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt was asked if Trump would be returning as the host, his response was “absolutely not.” “We’re obviously looking for a host of that show that will make noise and will be a big personality,” Greenblatt said. “There are a few people out there who fit that bill.” After Trump made derogatory remarks about the Latino community during one of his speeches in June, NBC severed ties with him. Rihanna Will Join “The Voice”

Songstress Rihanna just nabbed a spot on the next season of The Voice. The Bajan singer will be one of the show’s key advisors. During knockout rounds, she will serve as a mentor for the contestants. “This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers,” NBC’s Bob Greenblatt said in a statement.
