The South Carolina police officer who is responsible for taking 50-year-old Walter Scott’s life – after shooting at the unarmed man eight times – is still receiving support. A GoFundMe campaign page was launched to raise money for former officer Michael Slager. But according to Kelsea Little, GoFundMe’s public relations manager, it was quickly removed because it violated the site’s terms and conditions. Officer Scott will still get medical insurance from the city of North Charleston for his wife, who is 8 months pregnant. Read more.

Secret Service In the Midst of a Sex Scandal

The Secret Service is in hot water yet again. A woman who works within the agency is claiming that Xavier Morales, one of the supervisors, made sexual advances towards her. During an event, he allegedly told her that he was in love with her and wanted to have sex. Afterwards, he reportedly tried to kiss her in her office. Secret Service Director Joe Clancy expressed his outrage over the situation. “Any threats or violence that endangers our employees in the workplace is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” said Clancy in a statement. John Singleton Criticizes Producers of Tupac Shakur Biopic

Earlier this week, it was reported that film director John Singleton would no longer be working on the long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic. Following his exit, he didn’t share exactly what happened behind the scenes, but last night on Instagram, he spilled all of the tea. “Real talk! The reason I am not making this picture is because the people involved aren’t really respectful of the legacy of Tupac Amaru Shakur. I won’t say much if you want you can read my articles in Hollywood Reporter on authenticity in Black Storytelling …,” he posted. “To Pac’s real fans just know I am still planning a movie on Tupac … It doesn’t matter what they do mines will be better… Tupac was much more than a hip hop artist … He was a black man guided by his passions … Of most importance was his love of black people and culture … Something the people involved in this movie know nothing about.” Singleton is being replaced by Carl Franklin.
