WHAT:

The City of Atlanta’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI)

The Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI), operating against the vibrant entrepreneurial climate of the City of Atlanta, will serve to maximize the success of local women owned businesses. Working in tandem with Invest Atlanta, and a collaborative team of private industry partners, WEI will open its doors to Atlanta-based women entrepreneurs with viable businesses in a diverse range of services. WEI will offer access to a collage of resources designed to elevate and fortify their entrepreneurial success.

HOW:

Through a competitive selection process, 15 women entrepreneurs will be selected to “incubate” their business at WEI, in a startup-centered atmosphere, designed to foster and promote interaction and engagement with their likeminded counterparts. Specifically, WEI will provide the selected businesses with the following tools:

  • use of the center’s innovative workspace as a business incubator
  • a network of experts, seasoned entrepreneur mentors and consultants
  • business planning and preparation
  • marketing and branding identification and development
  • targeted financial education
  • measurable business growth and progress metrics
