Today’s Cold Cuts Artist of the Day is Raphael Saadiq. Born in Oakland, California in 1966, Saadiq is a founding member of the groundbreaking R&B group Tony! Toni! Tone!
Tony! Toni! Tone! dropped their debut album “Little Walter” in 1988. The ballad “It Never Rains (In Southern California)” and “Feels Good” were major hits at the time and are considered classics. The band eventually sold six million albumsm but Saadiq left the group to pursue a solo career.
