Strawberry Letter: My Husband Is Not Attracted To Me
Dear Steve and Shirley,
I am 23 years old. I got married at 21 years of age right before my 22nd birthday. My husband came into this country illegally from another country. When he was in that country we were having a long distance relationship. So when he came here you can already imagine the built-up passion that had to be let out. After getting down three times I became pregnant. Both our parents are pastors so being pregnant out of wedlock was like the ULTIMATE sin to them. To make a long story short we got married while I was pregnant in court and we moved in together. I gave birth but our child passed away. For a whole year he wasn’t working and I took care of him. He kept on saying how I was fat and I need to lose weight in my gut area and to stop blaming our deceased child as to why I’m fat in that area. Because I was the only bread winner in the home he told me to get a second job to make extra money to get a liposuction. We got into an argument recently and he said the reason why he married me was because I was pregnant! Can you believe this fool?! Before he didn’t have his legal documents he used to cook and clean since he was in the house all day, now he received his legal documents to work, he’s gotten rude. It’s funny because I filed for him through immigration and made sure he was legal before he got deported. He comes home and doesn’t talk to me. I know he’s not cheating – he doesn’t have it in him. And TRUST me I would know. But money is tight which is why I can’t get the liposuction right now. But I want to just to show him just like I got him I can get another man because there is a ton of fish in the sea. If I haven’t caught my fish yet, I know he’s out there. I’m a good wife to him, but his ungrateful self can’t seem to comprehend that. So I packed my stuff and left. I’m crashing at a friend’s house and He’s been calling her house to try to talk to me but I refuse to talk to him. He’s telling her he was saying those mean things to me just to motivate me to get my stomach flat. Who motivates somebody by doing that? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Am I wrong and should I just get my own place and move on? Just tell me like it is.
