Carmelo Anthony told CBS that he just wanted to talk to Kevin Garnett outside Madison Square Garden after their altercation during the Knicks’ loss to the Celtics, but a video of their shouting match shows otherwise.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Melo and KG can be seen yelling and approaching each other aggressively as MSG security and the NYPD keeps them apart.
Following the game, Melo told CBS that the altercation started when Garnett said something during the game that “crossed a line.” Reports have surfaced that KG may have said something about Melo’s wife, La La Vasquez.
“There’s certain things that you just don’t say to men, another man,” Anthony said.
He later explained, “We both have an understanding right now … that situation was handled.”
