Strawberry Letter: Scared To Love
Dear Steve and Shirley,
I am a 31 yr. old female and I’ve been single for the past two years. My previous relationship with my daughter’s father (who is 30 yrs. old) was very abusive verbally, mentally and physically. I have met this man who is 36 yrs. old. He is extremely nice and supportive to me and my daughter. He says everything I want to hear, like he could see himself with me for the rest of his life. He knew I was the one when he met me, and things of that nature. My daughter’s father is not around and he is excellent with my daughter. She has even told him that she wants him to be her father because she doesn’t have one. He is extremely nice to me and my daughter but I am afraid that this is just his representative. My daughter’s father use to treat me well in the beginning of our relationship and say the same things. So I am afraid of giving this guy a chance. He has a good job with a six figure salary, his own place, and I’ve met his parents. Do I take a chance with this guy or am I afraid to be in a relationship again?
