The Fulton County school board has reduced their school year from 180 days to 177 days. They have also extended their normal school day by 10 minutes. These changes are expected to go into effect during the 2010 school year. This move is going to save the Fulton County school system $1 million a year and also give the students an extra three days of summer. I guess it is a win win in these trying economic times.
