When George Zimmerman was found not guilty in the killing of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, there were many cries of protest in various forms. Some took to the pen while others took to the street. In the days after the verdict several of Hollywood’s leading black actors gathered to record a tribute to the young man–and others like him–entitled,”Little Black Boy Wonder.”

On Saturday July 13th, ICON MANN Black Men in Entertainment and Multimedia hosted its Summer Luncheon just hours before the Zimmerman verdict was delivered. As news of the acquittal spread actor Omari Hardwick penned a poem entitled “Little Black Boy Wonder,” and invited several of the attendees to recite various parts of it on camera to create a moving tribute to Trayvon.

“My belief in us, as the human race, sharing the same planet, motivated me too create LITTLE BOY WONDER a Dedication to Trayvon Martin,” Omari told Cocofab.com. He was joined by Eriq Lasalle, Marlon Wayans, Bill Duke, Wesley Jonathan and many more.
