Jill Scott Discusses Block Party, Working with Phylicia Rashad & More [EXCLUSIVE]

Singer/actress Jill Scott called into Majic 107.5 / 97.5 today and spoke with Carol Blackmon about her upcoming Jill Scott’s Block Party concert, taking place on June 30 at Chastain Park. The show also features DJ Jazzy Jeff and Kem.

Jill also talked about her recent Storytellers episode on VH1, as well as working with Phylicia Rashad, Alfre Woodard and Queen Latifah on the Steel Magnolias remake, which was shot in Atlanta and will premiere on Lifetime in September.

“It was a really great experience,” Jill said. “I will hold it close to my heart forever.”
