Attorney Leron Rogers of the Hewitt & Rogers law firm has filed a lawsuit against Larry Platt, whose song “Pants on the Ground” made him an overnight celebrity after he performed it as an “American Idol” audition.

Throughout this legislative session, the Capitol has welcomed soldiers, Boy Scouts and police officers to come speak before the House or the Senate. On the 19th day, they honored General Larry Platt, the civil rights warrior-turned “American Idol” star for his socially conscious tune, “Pants on the Ground.”

Civil rights veteran General Larry Platt dropped by Majic 107.5 / 97.5 last week. Platt talked about a variety of topics, including the sudden fame he has experienced since performing his song "Pants On The Ground" on "American Idol."

The popularity of "Pants on the Ground" singer Larry Platt continued to soar Friday morning, as Internet users flocked to videos of the Atlanta man's anthem against the sagging of trousers. Thursday night, "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon imitated Neil Young singing a bluesy version of "Pants," and Platt has been booked as a guest on Monday's ABC show, "The View."

America became acquainted with Larry Platt Tuesday night, but the "Pants on the Ground" singer has been an Atlanta fixture for years. He's also apparently a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Click here for details.
