TMZ.com is reporting that "General" Larry Platt is taking his "Pants on the Ground" phenomenon to Las Vegas. Platt, who made national news when he sang "Pants on the Ground" on "American Idol," is scheduled to perform his song at the Mirage Hotel this weekend.

Civil rights veteran General Larry Platt dropped by Majic 107.5 / 97.5 last week. Platt talked about a variety of topics, including the sudden fame he has experienced since performing his song "Pants On The Ground" on "American Idol."

The popularity of "Pants on the Ground" singer Larry Platt continued to soar Friday morning, as Internet users flocked to videos of the Atlanta man's anthem against the sagging of trousers. Thursday night, "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon imitated Neil Young singing a bluesy version of "Pants," and Platt has been booked as a guest on Monday's ABC show, "The View."
