Strawberry Letter: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not
Dear Steve and Shirley,
I am a 36 year old woman who feels in love with the man of my dreams. This man pursued me for 20+ years. We finally decided to be together February of this year. Things were going well in the beginning or so I thought. I was happy and everyone around me knew I was in love.
In June, the man of my dreams found some emails from a past lover. The emails consisted of my past lover asking if I missed him and some other sexual conversations. I did tell my past lover that I missed him, but I would not get into that. The man of my dreams was devastated. We cried together and talked things out and I promised I would not speak to my ex-lover again. I did!
The man of my dreams found out and it was down hill from that point on. We separated and we decided to move on. However, we continue to see each other. We go out together and we still have sex together. According to him, he is talking to other women. I am also seeing other people. Neither of us have had sex with anyone else. When I ask him if he still loves me, he says yes. I am confused and I do not know what to do. I want him back but he is not willing to be in a relationship with me.
