In that moment, I realized that Black lives really don’t matter – not just to the law enforcement officers

After a week of pain and unrest in our communities, a Black man was discovered hanging in Piedmont Park, Atlanta.

Even police have said the protest was peaceful, so why would Walsh blame protesters? Is it because they are trying to shake up the status quo by raising questions about police excessive force in communities of color?

On Thursday, 5 officers were fatally shot, while 6 people were injured at a protest over two recent fatal police shootings. Images reminiscent of the '60s have flooded the nation, as we endured a week of unfiltered violence.

Chaos and tension continued into the early hours of this morning with five police officers killed and seven injured in Dallas, Texas. Five cops were killed by snipers during a peaceful protest in Dallas overnight.
