Magic Theatres in Greenbriar mall will be showing its last movie Sunday. Ex NBA player Magic johnson no longer owns the theatre but he was one of the original partners that invested $8 million toward building the 12-screen complex. AMC, the current owners of the property say that the theatre was not performing well and they had two other theartres in the area for patrons to visit. Such as the Camp Creek AMC and the Southlake AMC. Thirteen years ago when the theatre opened the community exploded, packing the newly built complex every weekend. 774 applicants applied for 130 part time jobs and the theatre was off to an amazing start. However, like many of us the theatre fell on hard times and must close its doors.
