Slow Down This Week Police Are Watching

Operation Southern Slow Down begins today and runs through July 19, bringing increased speed enforcement to roads across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

That means you’ll likely see more state troopers and local law enforcement out looking for drivers who are speeding, weaving through traffic, or putting others at risk.

The campaign isn’t just about writing tickets-it’s about saving lives. According to traffic safety officials, speeding continues to be one of the leading causes of preventable crashes and traffic fatalities.
