Rising Fuel Costs Are Impacting Delivery Prices

If you’ve noticed gas prices going up, you’re not imagining it. Higher fuel costs are starting to hit your wallet in other ways too. Delivery and shipping services are adjusting prices to keep up with rising fuel expenses.
Amazon’s Temporary Surcharge
Starting April 17, Amazon will apply a temporary 3.5% fuel surcharge on deliveries.
Other Shipping Services Are Following Suit
Amazon isn’t alone. UPS, FedEx, and USPS have all added fuel surcharges to offset rising costs.
- USPS will implement a temporary 8% price increase on certain services, including Priority Mail, beginning April 26.
