Are you tired of changing your clocks twice a year? That frustrating routine could soon be a thing of the past in Georgia. State lawmakers are exploring a workaround that would effectively eliminate the need for clock changes by petitioning to shift Georgia into the Atlantic Time Zone and adopt a permanent standard time.

If approved, this move would keep Georgia one hour ahead of most of the rest of the United States year-round, creating a consistent schedule without the disruptions of seasonal time changes. Supporters say the change could improve sleep patterns, boost productivity, and simplify daily life for residents.

The proposed bill has already passed the Georgia Senate and is currently awaiting further action.

Currently, states like Arizona and Hawaii, along with several U.S. territories, do not observe Daylight Saving Time at all.
