Talk show host Whoopi Goldberg recently spoke out about her name appearing in the newly released Jeffrey Epstein files. She made her comments on The View to address confusion and speculation after people saw her name in the documents.

Goldberg explained that her name showed up because someone once inquired about travel options to a charity event she planned to attend. Epstein’s team declined the request, and she never flew on his plane. She stressed that simply being mentioned does not mean she had a personal relationship with Epstein or supported him.

“People are trying to turn me into something,” she said, adding that she was never his girlfriend or his friend. Her co-hosts also pointed out that many names in the files appear because of third-party mentions and unrelated emails, not because of any close connection.

Goldberg has addressed rumors like this before, firmly stating that her life and relationships are public and that misinformation can spread quickly without facts to back it up.
