Strawberry Letter 23: My Grown Son
Good morning Steve & Shirley,
I need some outside positive advice. My son is 36 and is constantly going in and out of jail. I previously used up all my savings in bailing him out on two occasions. I do not have any more savings, (I know that was my choice).
My question is I am raising his two sons while he is in jail and not receiving any financial assistance. I got him a car in 2004 under my name and now it has been impounded for 30 days and behind two car payments. I told the finance company to no longer call me regarding this car and they can do what they must do.
I informed my son of this and he is mad with me for not trying to help him keep the car. Please tell me honestly am I wrong? Your advice will be sincerely appreciated.
