Donna Summer is inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame
Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, has been posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame for her timeless tunes such as “Love to Love You Baby” and “I Feel Love.” Summer, who passed away in 2012, was honored at a ceremony in Los Angeles led by songwriter Paul Williams. Known for her blend of R&B, soul, pop, funk, rock, disco, and electronica, Summer’s songwriting prowess and chart-topping hits have left a lasting impact on the music industry. Her husband and daughters were in attendance to celebrate her induction, highlighting the importance of this recognition to Summer’s legacy. Songwriter Pete Bellotte, known for his collaborations with Summer, is a current nominee for the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame class.
