Cardi B Turned Her Baby’s Umbilical Cord Into Gold
On November 4, rap star Cardi B and her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, welcomed a baby boy. To celebrate, Cardi B had her newborn’s umbilical cord transformed into a golden heart with the help of Mommy Made.
The process shapes the cord into a heart, dries it out, and coats it in gold chrome. While the golden keepsake costs $50, it’s only available as part of Mommy Made’s $500 placenta encapsulation package, which turns the placenta into capsules meant to support postpartum recovery. Cardi also opted for a $65 Placenta Print designed like the Tree of Life. Mommy Made shared the final creation on Instagram, including footage of the cord being carefully molded and preserved.
