According to the NY Post:

The Trump administration has backtracked from their previous decision to block some loan forgiveness; it looks there may be relief on the way for up to 2million borrowers that are enrolled in one of two income-driven repayment plans. One is the Income-Contingent Repayment and the other is the Pay as You Earn.

Now, it may not happen overnight as this is all part of what Trump is calling his “Big Beautiful Bill” and it looks like the expected end date to all of this may go into July of 2028. We will see.
