Youth VIBE (Vision. Industry. Business. Empowerment) supports high school students in DeKalb and Fulton Co. with free mentoring, tutoring, SAT prep classes, character enrichment and entrepreneurial skills. For 15 years Youth VIBE has provided free services to students in need. We strive to empower tomorrow’s leaders today.
Youth VIBE HIghlights:
- Hot 107.9 Hot Cuts and Curls – partnered w/ the station to supply 3,000 book bags and school supplies for needy student sin Atlanta;
- Georgia Teen Work Program: Registered through the state to employ teenagers through DeKalb Co
- Youth Empowerment Day: Conducted a panel of entertainment executives to speak to students at Towers High school on other entertainment career possibilities besides being an artist
- Female Empowerment Retreat: Selected 20 young ladies from our afterschool program and exposed them to theatre, etiquette classes, fine dining, the arts and luxury living at Hotel Twelve along w/ a self esteem building workshop
- Day at the Capitol: Took all of our afterschool sites to visit the capitol, speak to lawmakers and experience where the laws that affect them are made.
Youth VIBE is currently working on the “15 Year Crystal Vision Fundraising Campaign” where we are focused on raising $150,000 to sustain and expand the program into an entrepreneurial leadership university.
